Germany Vacation 2024
Vacation 2024
Okay, Familia, we are 25 days and counting to our departure date. Hoping this post stirs up some excitement and gets you geared up for the trip. I wanted to share the final itinerary with everyone and hope that it builds anticipation for the good times ahead.
·
DAY 1:
Munich - Land, snack, pickup rental car and hit the
road headed for Füssen. After our drive,
we’ll check in to our hotel, decompress for a bit and enjoy our first official dinner
in Germany.
·
DAY 2:
Füssen - off to Neuschwanstein Castle (Cinderella castle)
let’s plan on arriving early. It will give
us the best views of the castle without the bus loads of day-trippers.
·
DAY 3:
Grainau – 7AM early rise to catch the gondola for 15 min ride to witness the majestic Zugspitze, highest peak in Germany. Then pack up and drive towards Hallstatt, Austria. After our long drive, we’ll check in to the hotel,
find some dinner and rest.
·
DAY 4 - 5:
Hallstatt - this is where we will pack it in for two nights. Just so much to see and do:
Salt Mine Tour, Ice Cave Tour and 5 fingers look out.
·
DAY 6-13:
Passau/River Cruise- The next part of our journey begins in Passau to kick off our 7-day river cruise down the Danube. Depending on our timing, hoping to explore the surroundings. Link for river cruise itinerary.
·
DAY 13 - 14:
Nuremberg - After the river cruise we drive to Nurenberg, a picturesque city renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the Rally Grounds
· DAY 15 - 17:
Munich - Explore the city on our own. Shopping in old town and Marinplatz and eating in
