 1st Annual North County Veteran Stand Down

Green Oak Ranch, Vista, CA

Towards the end of last year, I was invited to photograph the 1^st annual Veteran Stand Down that was held this past weekend at the Green Oak Ranch in Vista.  It was a great event and was proud to be a part of it. 

The Stand Down is an opportunity for local veterans, some homeless, to come and obtain valuable resources such as VA benefits, medical, dental, clothing and appear in court to rectify past judicial issues.  The court room was in a small kitchen in one of the available buildings on the ranch. 

A judge, bailiffs’, two public defenders and attorneys from the DA’s office were on hand-a very cool experience indeed.

I hope to capture the next Stand Down event here in North County.  A special thank you to Matt Foster for the invite, until next year.
