Dia de los Muertos at the Old Mission San Luis Rey

http://www.mslrdiadelosmuertos.com/Finally had the opportunity to attend the annual Dia de los Muertos event at the San Luis Rey Mission. It was extremely over-crowded and parking was a challenge in and of itself. If you were there to just walk and enjoy the scenery, then no worries. But if you were hoping to capture something interesting or a stunning "Catrina" then this event was a bust. Perhaps next year, I will plan to arrive much earlier.
In route to the parking lot, walking defeatedly, I approached an old brick structure. Admiring it and knowing that it would be a great backdrop to a future subject, I decided to just camp out and see who would approach, so glad I did.
