Finally had an opportunity to photograph my son's football game. Mission Hills HS-Grizzlies vs. Fallbrook Warriors (varsity). While it's a fun experience sitting and cheering in the stands, there is nothing like being on the filed and having a closeup view to take pictures.
A special thank you to Patrick Walker, Athletic Director of Fallbrook High School, for allowing me access.
I was able to capture some nice shots, but I could have done so much better if I just inched up my shutter speed from 125/sec to about 200 or faster, lessons learned.
I'm impressed with the overall performance of the Nikon D600 and the 70-300 mm stock lens.
SETTINGS:
* ISO hovered around 4500
* Aperture was f/5.6
This camera has proven well in low-light situations and I may consider a second body?
